“My greatest accomplishment so far in life is probably making it through the first semester of the ROTC program here. I definitely had moments where I thought I wouldn’t, but I’m hoping to commission in three years to become an U.S. Air Force pilot. I’m drawn to being a pilot because, in all honesty, I don’t want to die a boring death. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself and be a part of a team.” – Trinity Wells of Tuskegee

Wells is in the ROTC program and studying mechanical engineering at Tuskegee University. She said she was drawn to the historically Black college and university because it’s a big part of her family legacy.
“My whole family went to Tuskegee, but I wanted to come here because it’s a very diverse campus, and it’s in a small town. I wanted to be away from the city. The people here are very sweet, and it’s really family-oriented.”
